It's My Egypt is a travel company based in Cairo that plans private tours, packages and Nile journeys. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website or travel with us, why we collect it and how we keep it safe.

We only ask for what we need to plan and run your journey:
- Contact details: your name, email address and phone number.
- Travel details: dates, destinations, passport information needed for permits and hotels, and any dietary or mobility needs you share.
- Account details: your password (stored encrypted), wish lists and language preference.
- Technical details: your browser, device and the pages you visit, collected through cookies.
How we use your information
We use your information to answer your enquiries, prepare your itinerary, book hotels, boats and site permits in your name, take payments, keep you informed before and during your trip, and improve our website.
We send newsletters only if you subscribe, and every email includes a link to unsubscribe.
Who we share it with
To deliver your journey we share the necessary details with the hotels, boats, drivers and guides who host you, with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities for site permits, and with our bank to process payments. Each of them may use your information only for that purpose.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
Cookies
Our website uses a small number of cookies to keep you signed in, remember your language and understand which pages are most useful. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the site may then stop working as expected.
How long we keep it
We keep booking records for as long as Egyptian tax and tourism regulations require, usually five years. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted after two years, and you can close your account at any time.
Keeping your information safe
Our website uses encrypted connections, passwords are stored encrypted, and only the team members planning your journey can see your details. No system is perfectly secure, but we review our safeguards regularly and will tell you promptly if a breach affects you.

- Correct anything that is inaccurate or out of date.
- Ask us to delete your information, unless we must keep it by law.
